How to use a wooden lemon juicer?

May 12, 2025

'Green ants and new grains of wine, red clay small fireplace.' When you are ready to make homemade juice, the face of the juicer is difficult: metal cold, plastic easy to leave a bad smell. The wooden lemon juicer, gently turn, sweet and sour juice will come out.

Cut citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges in half horizontally to expose the flesh cross-section. Refrigerated fruits can be left at room temperature for 10 minutes or soaked in warm water for 1 minute to enhance the juice yield.

Place a wooden juicer (with the tapered tip facing up) on a table or in a large bowl and hold the bottom steady with one hand. If the bottom of the juicer has a non-slip design, you can press it directly. Take half a fruit, align the cut end with the tapered tip of the juicer, press down slightly and rotate clockwise 2-3 times. Continuously press the fruit skin with the palm of your hand and squeeze while rotating until the pulp becomes soft and the juice runs out. Use your fingertips to flick the edge of the husk as you rotate to help separate the pulp fibres.

Place a good clean cup or bowl underneath the juicer to take the juice. When it feels like the juice in the fruit is almost finished, tilt the shell so that even the last drop of juice flows precisely into the container, ensuring that every drop of deliciousness is not wasted. Sometimes the fruit seeds may get stuck in the wood grain of the juicer, in this case, just gently tap the juicer with a spoon and the seeds will be easily shaken off without affecting the next use.
